Beach Getaway
At the end of your tour, you may choose to extend your stay in Thailand by relaxing at one of the country’s many tropical beach destinations.
These destinations can be broadly divided into two main regions according to their location: the Andaman Sea on the west coast and the Gulf of Thailand on the east coast.
From a climatic perspective, the best time to visit destinations located along the Andaman Sea—including Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, and Krabi—as well as those in the northern Gulf of Thailand, such as Koh Samet, Koh Chang, and Koh Kood, is generally from November to May.
The islands of the southern Gulf of Thailand, including Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao, are affected by the southeast monsoon during the period from November to January. Therefore, the best time to enjoy a beach holiday in these destinations is from February through the end of September.
