After breakfast, check out and meet your guide for departure towards the mountainous region bordering Myanmar, following a scenic route far from the traditional tourist trails.

After approximately one hour, arrive at Doi Mae Salong (Santikhiri), a charming mountain village located at an elevation of around 1,000 metres above sea level. Renowned for its high-quality tea production, including the celebrated Oolong Tea, the area is distinguished by spectacular terraced tea plantations that blanket the hillsides, creating some of Northern Thailand’s most picturesque landscapes.

Originally settled by a Chinese community, Mae Salong retains a unique cultural identity where Chinese heritage blends harmoniously with the traditions of the region’s diverse ethnic groups.

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai Old City Temples and Transfer to the Airport (Breakfast and Lunch)

After breakfast, embark on a fascinating exploration of Chiang Mai, affectionately known as the “Rose of the North” and the former capital of the Lanna Kingdom for nearly five centuries (1296–1775).

Begin the day with a visit to the revered Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s most iconic temple. Perched atop Doi Suthep Mountain, the sanctuary offers breathtaking panoramic views over the city and surrounding countryside. According to local legend, the temple was founded on the spot where a sacred white elephant carrying a revered Buddha relic came to rest and died. Today, the relic is believed to be enshrined within the magnificent golden chedi that dominates the temple complex.

Return to Chiang Mai for lunch (included), served at a charming restaurant nestled within a vibrant orchid nursery. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens and an extraordinary collection of colorful orchids, this unique setting provides a memorable dining experience in the heart of nature.
